‘Demo Day’, 21 July 2016, which marks the culmination of the Pi Labs Accelerator Programme, is fast approaching. On Demo Day, Urban Intelligence, together with four other startups comprising the third cohort of the programme, will pitch to over 150 potential investors. With less than a month to go, each member of the Urban Intelligence team has been sprinting to meet and exceed expectations.
Howard, our current MVP, has been undergoing a major upgrade and reconstruction, with the first phase of the overhaul scheduled to be completed before Demo Day. Policy analysts have finished data collection of planning policies and other relevant information for Outer London boroughs, solidifying the database’s coverage of London. The tech team has been improving and refining Howard’s search functionality so that users can navigate planning policies by borough, index, as well as simple text. That’s not all: the expanded data content and enhanced features are in the process of being complemented by a new sleek and intuitive design on the front end. All hands are on deck to make Howard 2.0 work well and look stunning for Demo Day and beyond.
Things are also buzzing on the sales and marketing side. The team is working ambitiously and tirelessly to secure over 100 beta users and potential customers by Demo Day and has been able to collect priceless beta-user feedback as a result. Outreach to customers and investors will continue with increasing momentum.
June has been an exciting and busy month here at Urban Intelligence, and we expect no less for July. We look forward to proudly presenting Urban Intelligence and Howard to investors on July 21, to successfully concluding the Pi Labs Accelerator Programme, to reaching these milestones together.
